The Rain or Shine Theatre Company

The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare

Taming of the Shrew

The Taming of the Shrew is one of Shakespeare's early comedies dating from the end of the 16th century, best known as the basis for Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate. Performed by the inimitable Rain or Shine Theatre Company, this will be an evening of rip-roaring entertainment from the Elizabethan era's finest writer.

As with all Rain or Shine performances, this is an outdoor event running into the later part of the evening so bring warm clothes for later as the sun sets. The Bishop's Waltham Palace is also an ideal venue to enjoy a picnic and a glass of wine whilst watching this most magical of spectacles.

Having already started their season, Rain or Shine were particularly delighted with The Stage's review of their performance at West Tytherly. Being the weekly newspaper of the acting profession The Stage can't afford to pull no punches and prints what it sees without fear or favour. A glowing review here means that we know we're in safe hands having booked it, and that our audience is sure to love it.
