Brighton based group Bacalao are one of the foremost Latin show bands in the UK today intent not just on playing, but getting people up and dancing. The band, complete with two authentic Latinos, have put much hard work has gone into creating the proper salsa sound for their shows as well as unique fusions of western and latin.
Salsa, or Latin Jazz, developed in the 1960s and '70s among the Cuban and Puerto Rican communities in the New York suburbs. Bacalao have evolved salsa further to add a western twist with a range of musicians with backgrounds in everything from jazz to classical creating one of the most danceable sounds around!
